Project Details

The renovation of this 800-seat historic theater began with a series of consensus planning workshops to help define the priority list for the project.

Providing a safe learning and working environment was a major concern for the University, and the renovation design focused on providing new electrical, stage, rigging, and state-of-the-art theater lighting and sound systems to bring the 70-year-old theater to modern health, safety and theatrical standards.

Improved mechanical and structural upgrades breathe new life into this historic building, and more importantly provide a safe environment for students and staff in the drama department who spend most of their time in the shops, studios and on stage, and limited time in traditional classrooms.
